I particularly appreciated how the course explored the pedagogical value of games—not just as entertainment, but as powerful tools to foster motivation, collaboration, and deeper learning. The sections on game mechanics, types of learning games (digital and analogue), and examples across different subjects were especially helpful. As an EAL educator, I found the ideas adaptable to language learning, especially in supporting vocabulary retention, sentence construction, and critical thinking.
